Rays of Light

The first painting was painted in a park in the vicinity of Schoenbrunn, the Emperors Castle, and the second one was done in the Schoenbrunn park, where I tried to capture the fleeting moment of the evening sun.

Last weeks PAs

From now on I will write in English and German, because I had gotten some complaints by some people, that I only post in English.

The weather was great and I took the opportunity to go painting outside and enjoyed it very much. It is interesting to me how my feeling for painting has changed since last year. I feel a lot more relaxed and confident.

Figure Studies

Since December I am painting the nude with my evening class and sometimes I did paint along with them. I found it quite hard to concentrate on my paintings when I had to stop for the critiques of the students work but here are some, I am able to show.

Big Fish Head

This is the last painting I executed in the Museum.

40x30 cm, Oil on Canvaspanel

There is a saying, that in a museum the time stands still. Here you can see that I paint so fast that even a photo can´t capture me when I am on duty. :-)

Sports Field

Michael and I were so keen on painting outdoors that the weather forecast wasn´t able to stop us and we were rewarded with a beautiful but chilly day. The painting was done in a place called Augarten and depicted in the painting on the right is one of the Flak Towers.

My setup.

Michael with the second Flak Tower behind him, just to show you how beautiful the parks are here in Vienna.
