Last weeks PAs

From now on I will write in English and German, because I had gotten some complaints by some people, that I only post in English.

The weather was great and I took the opportunity to go painting outside and enjoyed it very much. It is interesting to me how my feeling for painting has changed since last year. I feel a lot more relaxed and confident.

You've been very productive, Stefan. Nice feeling of light and good use of compositional devices to bring the viewer into your paintings. I will try to follow the German text too.

Okay ab jetzt antworte ich nur noch auf holländisch, for those people who complain. :-P

Waarlijk heel erg mooi Stefan.
Je bent érg druk geweest, en ik snap precies wat je bedoelt met dat je je zekerder voelt.

Prachtige werkstukken!!

William, I had really a blast and enjoyed painting the light. Thanks!

Hey Steve, I have been to your blog, but wasn´t able to see the paintings bigger. Thanks for adding my link.
Before I start I look for the bigger abstract shapes. I think that helps in terms of composition.

Chris, it is like you said: spring is here. I haven´t hardly been in the studio. Thanks for your comment!

René, you are really nasty. I wasn´t complaining that you write in English. The last sentence could mean: Prächtige Werke?!?! But the rest? You could also see it as an opportunity to improve your German. :-P

Stefan.. You have been very busy I can see! Some great stuff! The one of the green bridge is astounding!!... very authentic feel about it. Your sense of light in the streetcar piece and the sculptor's studio also very nice.

What a delight to see such wonderful work. I have not been by for a while, and here is an explosion of color. I love the variety, and your sense of ease with the urban settings. I am intrigued with your use of abstracted shapes.

Thank you, Joe!

Michael, the bridge was particulary hard to paint, because of the sunlight on the cool green, that everybody knows how it looks like. I had a wonderful week and that probably shows. Thanks.

Hi Robin, thanks you for your comment and compliment. Nice that you dropped by, again. The colors outdoors are so much more brighter than in the museum and I enjoy painting and exploring them.

Stefan.. you're 40? Man if you have your health too you have it made! Love the new PA collection. You bring the goods to the support on all of these. Your architectural chops are well in place along with your understanding of nature. Excellent!

Wow Stefan...

These are incredible! Your composition, paint application, color and value are exceptional.
It's great that you have the opportunity to capture the variety of changing seasons as well :)

I agree with Bill: only 40, healthy and soooo talented!
