Cigarboxes | Zigarrenkisten

The weather was not so well, so Michael and I decided to paint inside. My painting turned out to be a still life of my cigarbox collection.

Wegen des schlechten Wetters beschlossen Michael und ich im Studio zu malen. Mein Gemälde wurde ein Stillleben meiner Zigarrenkistensammlung.

Hey Nue!!

Love the cigar box painting! (I also really like the museum paintings)

For a guy who doesn't smoke many cigars you have a great collection. As you know I like collecting these boxes too. Great idea for a still life when the weather is crap. I also like the sense of light and strong composition.

Cheers... Andrew

some of them are intended to become paintboxes. Nevertheless the are craming my window sill.
Ich richte sie Michael aus. Danke.

Michael,
I enjoyed painting these, because the subject matter seemed so simple and left so much room to focus on the light situation and the painterly approach. Thanks!

Hi Andrew,

as a pasttime I enjoy smoking cigars and some of these had been emptied by myself.
I hope you are fine and I am looking forward seeing you soon in Vienna and painting together.

Thanks and cheers....Nue!

Hi Stefan,
thanks for your comment on my blog. I really appreciate it. Love your paintings! We seem to be all following the same blogs LOL. It's nice to have this community of painters. I am finally getting more into plein air.
Happy painting
und schoene Gruesse

Hi Ruth,
thanks for your comment. It is true that the blog community is smaller as it seems and if one is interested in quality it gets even smaller.
I am looking forward to some plein air painting, too.
Schöne Grüße auch an Dich.
