Kaffeehaus

In April my friend and colleague Andrew Judd spent some time in Vienna in order to paint together. So we painted in the Café Jelinek. He used to do so many paintings in the Kaffeehäuser when he he used to live in Vienna some years ago. So check his website out to see some of his paintings.

Ow ow ow you guys having a lot of fun. It looks great paint inside a café, never did it and for that matter I think I am much too shy for it.

Lovely work though, ...

Hey!!!

What great memories!!
We had so much fun there and it was inspiring to paint beside Stefan. This cafe is one of my personal favorites and the wine is good too.

I will try to post a cafe photo or two when I have a moment.

Cheers.... Andrew

Yeah René,

we had a great time and it is always inspiring to paint along Andrew. In the Kaffeehäuser they were at first a little suspicious when we set up our gear but our paintings changed their attitude.

Thanks!

How do they cope with the turp vapors, or have you odorless turp, ... and what about the stains you may make?

Did you ask permission first or just went ahead and see whats happened?

Very curious images, taking the coffee with the trestle to the side, with good final result.
Congratulations.

What fun. Good friends, wine and painting. And beautiful work, to boot.

Best of luck with your show.

René,
we use odorless thinner but at one point I spilled some on the floor. It didn´t matter so much because this Kaffeehaus is so old that you could hardly see it. ;-)

Ans we didn´t ask for permission, we just set up our stuff.

I've come here twice now, the first time I recommended this place without ever even stepping foot inside. It didn't really matter, from the outside you can tell this is a well-run cafe.

The region's population at that time was composed of Baltic, Slavic, Finnic, Turkic and Norse peoples. The region was also a place of operations for Varangians, eastern Scandinavian adventurers, merchants and pirates.
According to contemporaneous sources, the population centers of the region, which may have included the proto-towns of Holmgard (Novgorod), Aldeigja (Ladoga), Lyubsha, Alaborg, Sarskoye Gorodishche, and Timerevo, were under the rule of a monarch or monarchs using the Old Turkic title Khagan. The Rus' Khaganate period marked the genesis of a distinct Rus' ethnos, and its successor states would include Kievan Rus' and later states from which modern Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine evolved.adjustable banner standsfranchise consulting

The Tamar arrived in Sydney in July, and the following month was sent to help establish a settlement at Melville Island. The Melville Island settlement was officially established on 21 October, and shortly afterwards the Tamar sailed for Bombay, where she was refitted and reprovisioned. She then spent some time in surveying and naval duties between Ceylon, India and Rangoon. Britain was then at war with Burma, and Roe's services in the Burma War were later recognised when he was awarded the Burma Medal in 1827. After a number of other excursions, Tamar returned to England, arriving late in November.
