It is very funny that almost every day when I am in the museum there are visitors from one nation who have the majority. On some it is the Spanish day on others the Asian or Italian. This time it was the day of Hungary. There were loads of Hungarian Schoolkids running past my easel, shouting and asking stupid questions. I finally gave up totally deranged.

Those ducks think it's funny though.... they have seen more people pass by than you can imagine and they look quite pleased you took the time to paint their portraits!
Good painting and great story!
cheers... Andrew
Stefan: I've been enjoying looking at your blog. I also have painted the Rubens "Two Satyrs" painting that is in the backgroung of your picture. Steve Johnson
Great work Stefan. I enjoy visiting your blog. I once was painting at the zoo, children running up to me asking questions, bumping into the easel, mineral spirits everywhere...I wanted to climb a tree and paint from there!
Of course Andrew, the animals in this museum are sometimes twohundred years old and have probably seen a lot.
Cheers and see you in Vienna!
Steve, thanks for your visit and comment. There is a demo on my site of the Satyrs that is hard to find. I plan on redesigning and updating my site in order to have these things easier to be found. Here is the demo: http://www.stefan-nuetzel.com/wie.html
Hi Heidi, are you also in a member of WetCanvas? I think I have seen already some of your work.
Thanks for dropping by. Most of the times it is nice to paint in public but sometimes it is quite disturbing.
Hi Stefan,
the ducks are a very good alternation because of the backgroundcolor. Our paintings of the museum are too often in these boring colors of brown, green or gray. But this iceblue background of your ducks - that really rocks!
Michael
Hey Michael, you can´t say that about these colors, which you think are boring. It is a challenge! In general I like to vary the color concept of the paintings and I am looking for a great tone in a picture. Thank you for commenting.
love the painting!! AWESOME, great soft feather!!
Great color combo. Those ducks really pops out nicely. Great expressions on ducks face.
Thanks Alina for dropping by and your nice comment.
Kee, those things like color and the expressions are a gift which one should take and be happy with. Thanx.
If you don't sell this one I'd be interested in trading for it if that interests you. The girl friend and I love birds.
Wow William, I would also be interested in trading that picture with you. That is really a compliment from you.
