A Writers Portrait continued

Actually I prefer painting the nude because with the dressed figure the people have the habit of wearing different clothes from one sitting to the other. Nevertheless, tell me what you think about the changes.

Ansonsten Spitzen Arbeit!

I think you have tremendous amount of control over your painting. My eye goes to the figures head and expression. Very well done.

All my best,
Todd

Thanks Todd, isn´t it great that you can play with the focal points in painting. In this one I try to have a dialogue between the head and the hand. The tremendous amount of control requires a tremendous amount of concentration and practice. ;-)
Cheers..Nue

Nue: I think your composition is excellent and the figure is very solid. Steve

René, on Friday I had the last session and it is definitively right that I had pushed the green a little too much. I am not shure whether to keep it or not. I will post the last stage and you could give me your opinion. Otherwise thank you.

Thanks Steve, despite all the solidness I try to keep my brushwork loose which is within portraits so difficult.
