Egypt in Museum | Ägypten im Museum

Since the start of this year I was painting quite frequently in the Kunsthistorische Museum, Vienna. I did a few bigger paintings which took my some time and some smaller pieces I am going to show in this post.

Encased | Eingeschlossen, 40 x 30 cm, Oil on Canvaspanel

Here is another painter, I am very fond of:

The Pharaos are superb - dark, gloomy, Egyptian interiors - puts me in mind of that novel by Kate Atkinson "Behind the scenes at the Museum". There's something about ancient Egypt which is compelling. Love the old radiator there as well - a very 'Hopperesque' touch.

Thanks Sheila!
I don´t know this novel, but will look it up.
The mood in the the Egyptian section of the museum is very special and I enjoy painting there. In the next posts there will be also some location photos.

Hi Erkan!

Thanks, Rahina, but unfortunately the foot was painted by Adolph von Menzel. ;-)

Hallo Susanne,

New electrical mains cables were installed throughout the market, the site was resurfaced, and the elegant but aging 19th century lavatories were demolished.

If you want lots of juice, quickly and economically, choose watermelon. Peel or cut off the hard exterior so it doesn't slow your juicer. The juicy pink, red, and white fruit will fill your cup with lots of fresh, nutritious juice.
