Coffin | Sarg Part 4

I continued with the lid and you can see the progress in the photos. Now I am off for some days of Plein Air Painting and will continue the documentation, when I am back.

What an interesting project, if a little dark. Nice painting.

Thank you René. I might look a little paler than she does, but we are both pretty much alive.

Hi Bill, I wonder whether you mean that the painting is dark or the suject matter. Thanks for dropping by.

Hey Stefan,

Thanks for your comments on my latest painting. Thought I'd click over and see how the coffin is going...It looks good enough to die in. I mean that in the most complimentary way. Really great work, sincerely. What an unusual project, I'll bet you are loving it. Enjoy your painting holiday, I'm looking forward to seeing some of your travel work.

Best to you,
Todd

Dark in subject matter is what I meant. Sorry I wasn't clear. The painting and workmanship are beautiful.

Thanks Todd,
I really enjoyed painting this large and will continue. My trip to Carinthia was very nice, I saw many things and enjoyed myself. I will post the ONE painting I did when I have taken a picture of it.

Bill- it is very nice that you explained it. I don´t see it as being dark. I worked for quite a while in a crypt (the pictures are on my website) and that changed a little my attitude towards death.

Hi Jürgen! Die Eröffnung der Ausstellung wird am 25. Oktober sein und ich hoffe, daß sie scheen wird.
