A Writers Portrait finished

I finished the painting some time ago, but I was busy and away, not being able to post it. So here is the latest version.

Das Bild habe ich schon vor einiger Zeit fertiggestellt, jedoch war ich beschäftigt und auf Reisen und kam nicht dazu es zu posten. Hier ist nun der letzte Zustand.

Andreas Pichler, 40 x 50 cm, Oil on Canvaspanel

Nice work. He appear intent, focused. I suppose you've captured his personality well.

Hey, a person! Nice! The setting makes it a very manly portrait. I like very much how you made reds and oranges dominate the background in contrast to his green shirt. The light on his face appears cool, as if from a window. Also think you did a great job on his forearms and hands. I'm currently struggling with one forearm in that painting of the three boys. It seems like the interminable painting!

Hi Ed, due to the fact that this is no comissioned portrait, we both enjoyed working together. That might show. Thanks for your comment.

Thanks Silvina,
the idea of getting to the persons places with my painting gear, makes a different mood than in my studio.
Here I tried not to paint too many details, in order not to loose the focal point. So I simplyfied the hands a bit.
